Sales policy
I reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone.
You will be refunded your deposit if I refuse a sale.
Reservations
Blessed Valley Farm maintains a list to reserve lambs/ kids. To reserve lambs/ kids the prospective buyer must submit their name and email address to be placed on the list. No deposits are taken on lambs/ kids until they are born and determined to be healthy by Blessed Valley Farm. The first person on the reservation list will then be notified and must respond within 48 hours of the email being sent. If no response is made within 48 hours or the potential buyer does not wish to retain the kid, then the next person on the reservation list will be notified. A deposit to hold the kid will be required within 24 hours of a purchase agreement.
Deposit
A deposit of half the purchase price will hold an animal for 14 days or until weaning (7-8 weeks in goats) in which the buyer must arrange for pickup or transport. For example if you purchase a doe kid for $300, I will require a $150 deposit then upon pick up you pay the other $150. Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits can be mailed to my home address in form of a check or through PayPal.
If sending a check and it does not clear, you will be charged however much I am charged at the bank on top of what you already owe. Which is usually $30.
If sending deposit through PayPal you must send it as a gift to friends/ family or you will be charged a 3% fee, which is what PayPal charges me.
Pick Up
Pick-Up: Kids must be picked up within two weeks after weaning. After that you will be charged a boarding fee. No goat will leave the farm until paid in full. Farm pick up, you must bring cash!!!
Transportation: Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. Full payment must be made in full, one day before transporter pick up. The goat does not leave the farm until it has been paid for in full.
Buyer must know the requirements of their state for transport. If a trip is made to the vet that isn't futile because buyer does not know the requirements, they will be charged the exam fee.
Below are a guideline of fees that could occur at the expense of the buyer with pick up or transportation.
All sales are final. Once the goat leaves the farm, they are your obligation. I do not mind to offer advice but I am not a vet. There are several Facebook groups that would be great to join. I can provide you with the ones that I am in.
